K- Con 2006

Yes, it's true, there will be a Sherrilyn Kenyon/Kinley MacGregor conference! We have the official date which is Oct 20-22, 2006 in New Orleans

The official hotel is the Sheraton on Canal St. Please note that at this time, registration is closed. We deeply apologize for any upset this may cause but we had such an overwhelming response that we exceeded capacity. At this time, we are taking names and adding them on a wait-list in the event a spot does become available. If you'd like to be added to the wait-list, please contact Janet

If you've already reserved a room and still need to register for the conference, Janet will be sending out a notice to all of you with information on how to pay. If you need more time to pay the conference free, let Janet know and she will be more than willing to work with you.

The conference fee is $160.00 per person attending. That fee is strictly to cover the food costs of the event and the hotel staff who will be helping us.

Tentative schedule of events is:

Friday evening 
Lords of Avalon welcome mixer and registration 
lots of hor d'oevres and beverages 
(there will be a cash bar available)
Come dressed as your favorite LOA character
Prizes awarded for best costume

Saturday 
*All day meeting space reserved for group.
Trivia competitions with prizes
Discussing the future and origins of each series, as well as what's coming down the pike and an intro into Nevermore
A sneak peek at Knight of Darkness and The Dream-Hunter (maybe one at Nevermore too) 
*Luncheon (full buffet luncheon at the Sheraton, tons of choices of 
what to eat) 
Simi lookalike contest.
Art contest (draw your favorite character or scene and enter it-- judging will be done by those present)
A chat with the editors who make the series happen as well as a discussion about the publishing process
A viewing of the infamous Dark-Hunter dolls
*Vampire/French Quarter tour after dark (for those who don't wish to participate, there will be a general book duscussion) 

Sunday 
*Brunch at Brennans 

Each attendee will also receive: 
*gift certificate for Cafe Du Monde (use anytime) 
*commemorative KCON item 
*welcome pack full of stuff other goodies & discount coupons
*Special DH/LOA and BAD Items (some from Nevermore too)
