Register Name / Update Password
You must
register on the link
above before you can enter. The registration is 2 parts. Part one you
enter your name and it sends an activation code to your email.(Please
note, if you don't see the email in your inbox don't forget to check
your bulk/spam folder) Once you click the activation, it sends another
email with your temp password. You then go to the chatroom and enter in
your username and the temp password. Then it shows a small menu where
you can change your password and then enter chat. It's a little
convoluted, but it's a much more secure system than the old one.
These
chats are moderated at all times and
the moderator is the name that is green on the list of users and will
usually be found at the very top. For the protection of the users, all
chats are now transcripted and all IP's are logged. These IP's are kept
confidential and will only be shared with the appropriate authorities
should someone threaten the safety of the members of the room or site.
The chatroom can accommodate
up to 100 people at the same time. Because of this, everyone needs to
be
respectful and on their best behavior. Those who refuse to follow the
rules will
be booted from the chat and possibly banned at the Admin's discretion.
Chat Rules:
Important
notice: NO ONE not directly authorized by Sherrilyn is allowed to
play any Dark-Hunter, Were-Hunter or Dream-Hunter who is portrayed in
any of Sherrilyn's works at any time. Only those handful who are known
to Sherrilyn are allowed to come in as characters from her works.

Absolutely NO private chat
messages to the characters while
they are in chat!
Otherwise the guest won't be able to respond to the questions being
asked. The guest
will turn this feature off the minute he/she enters.
When
coming and going, and there is no guest present,
feel free to greet each other. When ANY guest is present and we come in
and/or leave, only the guest will acknowledge the fact.
Otherwise we end up with a long screen of hellos and goodbyes.
We will go slowly so that the guest may answer any question. When
you ask a question, type the guest's name and a `?'. (i.e. Styxx
?) The Admin will set up a queue and will call on you when it's your
turn to ask a
question.
If we are just chatting and someone has a question for someone else,
it's best to do the same as we do with the guest - name and `?'
We have lots of touch typists, but a lot of hunt & peck typists
too, so we have to give everyone a chance to talk and no one
particularly dominate the conversation.
As a matter of courtesy, please check the list of who is in the room
and read the last question to see what is going on before typing.
The purpose of the chats is to have fun, learn about the guest, to talk
with
him or her. Everyone has questions and wants to say something, but we
need to help them as much as possible, so that they will want to come
back. If we can show them that we know how to be civil and polite -
they will come often. So pull up a virtual sofa, chair or floor pillow,
and we sit and have a good time.
ABOVE ALL REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR POSTS PG. The Chats are live and
accessible
by anyone on the Internet, so please act accordingly and say nothing
that could
offend younger participants.
The final rule is to be respectful of each other and have a lot of fun.

Hours for Chat:
Regular
chats for all fans young and
old (and these are the ones that Sherrilyn and her characters will
attend) start approximately M-F 8:30-midnight EST. Come in and meet
others who love the DH world too.
Weekend
chats are held at the
discretion of the admin moderators who will open it as their schedule
permits.
If they are able to open the chat on the weekend, they will post that
the room
is open on the Dark-Hunter
bbs.
