KCon 2006 was the first ever convention celebrating Sherrilyn
Kenyon/Kinley MacGregor's worlds. It was held Oct 20-22 in New Orleans. And a
group of intrepid fans marked the occasion by getting Dark-Hunter tattoos during
the convention.

There were over 300
fans in attendance for the first
KCon that was held in the Sheraton
New Orleans. That is the same hotel
where Sherri first saw the cover for
Fantasy Lover. Ironically enough,
she stayed in the same exact room
for KCon that she'd had then. When
Sherr's staff opened up online
pre-registration for the con, it
only lasted a few hours. The staff
was bombarded by entry fees and the
convention was packed to capacity in
less than 24 hours. A waiting list
was started immediately and was over
a thousand people long. |

Factoid:
During the convention, $1700 was raised for
the New Orleans Public Library restoration
fund. There were fans from all over the
world in attendance including, Ireland,
Finland, Italy, Spain, Canada, Australia,
Greece, New Zealand, England, Japan, France
and Germany. And one family represented four
generations of Dark-Hunter fans.
