Sherri's kids can tell if she's working by whether or not they hear music in her office. If they hear punk or thrash metal, they know it's a fight scene and often barge in to have her tell them who's getting their butts kicked.

One of Sherri's fondest memories of childhood is riding with her older brother in his '66 Mustang, listening to music while flying down the road. To this day, she can't listen to the Doors without crying. She now has her own Mustang which she keeps as an homage to her brother and to the summer fun they shared, even though it wasn't cool for a teen-aged boy to have his baby sister following him around.

Factoid: Sherri was once a DJ for WUOG (Athens, GA) and WXGC (Milledgeville, GA) in college. At XGC she did a show with Lisa Arnold (the woman who is the reason the Dark-Hunters are set in New Orleans and who is the mother of Sherri's assistant Erika) called Terrorist Radio. They were on the graveyard shirt from midnight to four. On the nights when Lisa couldn't make it, Sherri (Alyx) would be up there working on Dark-Hunter stories. She even wrote one that took place in the radio station's studio.

Dark-Hunter Theme Song

Nemesis from Shriekback

In a jungle of the senses
Tinkerbell and Jack the Ripper
Love has no meaning, not where they come from
But we know pleasure is not that simple
Very little fruit is forbidden
Sometimes we wobble, sometimes we're strong
But you know evil is an exact science
Being carefully correctly wrong

Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

We feel like Greeks, we feel like Romans
Centaurs and monkeys just cluster round us
We drink elixirs that we refine
From the juices of the dying
We are no monsters, we're moral people
And yet we have the strength to do this
This is the splendor of our achievement
Call in the air strike with a poison kiss

Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

How bad it gets, you can't imagine
The burning wax, the breath of reptiles
God is not mocked, he owns our business
Karma could take us at any moment
Cover him up, I think we're finished
You know it's never been so exotic
But I don't know, my dreams are visions
We could still end up with the great big fishes

Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home...
