When Sherri sold A Pirate of Her Own, she and her husband along with a friend went to Natchez to celebrate (Rebecca was visiting from out of state and had never seen it). They went into a casino there and Sherri's hubby bought a dollar token as celebration. Because they were so broke, Sherri couldn't bring herself to waste even a dollar. She carried the token around all night, refusing to throw it away, while Rebecca gambled. Right before they left, her hubby told her to go ahead and play one machine. Sherri stopped by one with a pirate on it and won $350. She left the casino IMMEDIATELY after cashing in.

When Sherri live in Jackson, MS, they used to travel often to Natchez. Natchez Under the Hill is one of her favorite places.

Factoid: The dent comes from an inside joke where Rebecca fell onto the floor by accident during dinner. Sherri fell out when a fan submitted the picture of Ash in the same spot.
